With this sentence, you have just illustrated the point, my boy. You see, only when you start to THINK in English and not just trying to translate whole sentences from Serbian, you will be able to say that you have reached the perfection!
Instead of "I've said to me...blah, blah..." you should have said "I've said to myself..."
