Cover letter-pismo motivacije
Note-Before you write your cover letter, do extensive research on the company/organization and position to which you are applying for. This will help you greatly in choosing which aspects of yourself you want to highlight in the letter. If you are applying for a research position, formulate your cover letter as you would a research paper. In other words, demonstrate your capability to write. Also if possible use similar language in your cover letter that you find in the job
positing. If employers use those words to describe the person they want to hire, then you definitely want to use them when describing yourself and what you bring to the table.
Order of Information:
Upper right corner-date
Upper left corner-Employer' name and address/contact info
Salutation- Dear John Smith
3-4 spaces below Employer's address
Stick with Dear if you have a contact name. If you don't have contact name, put Dear Hiring Manager, or To Whom it May Concern,
In 2 or 3 paragraphs state your goals, accomplishments, and your skills.
Paragraph 1- state your objective and goals
keep this paragraph concise, no longer than 5 sentences
first sentence state your objective-ex.-I am interested in the assistant editor position being offered by your company..
Follow it up with 2-3 sentences on why you are interested in the position and what you want out of it. In this paragraph you may introduce personal information about yourself. Adding a personal touch always invites the reader's curiosity into learning more about you.
Paragraph 2-state your accomplishments and skills
Only state accomplishments to which relate directly to the position you are applying to. Remember, they have your resume attached to this letter, they can read all of what you have done. So only elaborate on the accomplishments that pertain to the position. If possible, quantify what you have done in numbers because numbers peak people's interest and always considered impressive.
Mention your "soft skills" which are skills that employers cannot decipher through tests.
Ex- express your ability to work well in a complex environment, your enjoyment to work with a diverse group of people, your ability to collaborate and solve problems with colleagues.
Paragraph 3-wrap up
3-5 Sentences. Close the letter with tying in your interests and background and why that makes you a well suited candidate for the position.

End the letter in a future tone and offer to give additional info/references.
Ex- I look forward to hearing from you and any additional reference material is readily available upon request.
Closing Salutation-
Best Regards,
Sincerely
Nadam se da je bilo od pomoci
